Dr. Parsai has worked in Medical Physics since 1997. He credits the outstanding team of clinicians and technologists he works with at Peninsula Cancer Center for helping to combine his scientific knowledge with the art of medicine to assist patients. Dr. Parsai received his Ph.D. in physics from University of British Columbia in Canada. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, and a wide variety of sports including soccer, hockey, and swimming.

Laura has been in radiation oncology since 1972 but still embraces the challenges of the field and the experiences she shares daily with patients and fellow staff. Laura started her career in New York and moved to the Pacific Northwest where she has worked in radiation oncology at Virginia Mason and Swedish Medical Center. Her 30-year career is inspiring and deeply meaningful to Laura. Outside of work Laura enjoys everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Cheri was inspired to work in radiation oncology after witnessing a family member’s struggle with cancer. While she enjoys the technical side of her work, Cheri’s heart is truly with the patient. She loves getting to know each patient that relies upon her care. Nothing is more fulfilling to Cheri than providing a patient with a positive experience during an exhausting and frightening time. Cheri was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. Her other interests include travel, fly fishing, and crabbing.

Krissy started her career in healthcare in 2010 after years of managing a bridal salon in Virginia Beach, VA. She developed a passion for helping people behind the scenes and has grown to enjoy operational projects that improve the patient’s experience. Krissy is a Washington transplant, from Virginia where she managed several ambulatory cardiac clinics and served as a regional liaison for a multi-specialty medical group.

On her time off, Krissy enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, Basil and Olive-Oil. She also enjoys the beach, traveling, and hiking.

Anna was inspired to become an oncology nurse after her grandmother was diagnosed with bladder cancer at Duke University Medical Center. She began her career on the medical oncology unit at the Seattle Veterans Administration Hospital. After a few years in practice, she entered graduate school in the oncology track at the University of Washington Nursing School where she obtained a Master’s of Nursing and began a career as an Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist. Anna has since worked in hospital, outpatient, and home care settings delivering care to oncology patients and their families across all stages of disease. She has a special interest in pain and symptom management. Anna serves on the board of the Hospice Foundation of Jefferson Healthcare. Outside of work she enjoys writing memoir and family history, playing with grandchildren and traveling.
Ann Asher, RN

Ann started her career more than 30 years ago in a multidisciplinary oncology center at the University of Washington. Upon moving to Poulsbo, she became a nurse coordinator for a breast cancer screening program. After 16 years in that role, Ann returned to oncology nursing. Ann is passionate about helping people navigate the health care system and maximize their potential for wellness. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family as well as gardening, running, cycling, and reading.
Jessica Wells

Jessica was inspired to enter the medical field because she truly enjoys helping others. She graduated with honors from Everest College in Bremerton and joined the Peninsula Cancer Center team in 2010. Jessica coordinates the processing of new patients, making sure all of their data and records are incorporated into our Electronic Health Records system for their initial visit with the doctor. She also works on insurance verification and pre-authorizations. When she’s not in the office Jessica loves spending time with her family and being active in the outdoors. She’s also enjoying the addition of her newest family member, her mini Australian Shepherd, Rocky the Great.
Michael Todd

Michael has worked in various areas in the medical field for over 13 years, with 10 years CNA experience in long-term care and acute care settings. As a CNA, he discovered how rewarding and fulfilling hands-on patient care is – enriching others’ lives while learning from his patients. Michael is a husband and father to two beautiful cheerleaders, and can usually be found on the sideline cheering them on. He enjoys being an early transplant in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and takes advantage of the abundance of activities it has to offer, particularly camping, swimming, and nature walks.

Merriah has been a Certified Medical Assistant since 2012. After 20 years in retail, Merriah wanted to pursue a career in health care. She completed her CMA training through Everest College in Bremerton and graduated with honors. Being able to rotate through many specialties gave Merriah a broad education and she enjoys the detail oriented focus of specialty medicine. Merriah likes to read, cook, and spend time with her family. She also likes to travel and hopes to return to Florence again soon.

Chris is a certified radiation therapist and is honored to work at PCC with a group that shares his motivation to make each patient their highest priority. Shortly after graduating from Bellevue College for radiation therapy, Chris placed in the top 5th percentile on the national ARRT board exam for radiation therapy certification (his class also had the highest average board exam scores nationally of any graduating radiation therapy program that year). His hobbies include kayaking, cooking, and refurbishing antique furniture.

After serving seven years in the Army, Justin has followed his passion in the medical field, specifically cancer care. He is proud to be working with the professional staff here at Peninsula Cancer Center where he is dedicated to providing top-notch medical care. Justin likes to get to know his patients personally and works to ensure that everyone has a positive experience as they progress through treatment. Justin enjoys spending his free time with his family taking in all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer (rain or shine…but mostly rain).

After spending four years teaching English in rural Fukushima Japan, Betsy returned to the US to pursue her desire to work in health care. She enjoys getting to know patients and feels lucky that she found a career in radiation therapy where she can do that. She likes hiking with her German Shepherd, traveling and reading. She can often be found in her garden or with her chickens and ducks.

Keri has been a Medical Assistant since 1997. She has been in several different areas in the medical field over the past 20 years, with the majority of her focus in primary care. Keri knew early on, that she has a passion in caring for people and truly enjoys getting to establish relationships with her patients. She is new to Washington as she recently moved here from Colorado.
Keri enjoys being a mother to her 3 boys. She enjoys watching them grow and play sports. In her free time, she enjoys music, hiking, photography, spending time with family and exploring new places while trying new things.
Soren Olsen
Soren OlsenAssistant Physicist
Soren earned his bachelors in physics from Seattle Pacific University in 2007. He assists Dr. Parsai with quality assurance specific to the treatment machine. He’s been working with Peninsula Cancer Center since 2012. In addition to his work here, Soren pursues music and plays a variety of instruments including mandolin, banjo, and guitar.

Rhonda has been in the field of radiation oncology for 13 years, her first 7 years spent as a radiation therapist before moving into dosimetry. She became interested in the medical field at age 13 when she volunteered as a candy striper at her local hospital. In her spare time, Rhonda enjoys spending time with her family boating in the San Juans in the summer and skiing in the winter. She also likes going for walks and pretending to golf!
