On September 1, 2009 Peninsula Cancer Center opened its doors. Establishing a premier Cancer Center on the Peninsula is a realization of a shared dream of Dr. Berit Madsen and Dr. R. Alex Hsi. For more than a decade, the two physicians practiced in Seattle and treated many patients traveling from the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas. The daily commute took a physical and emotional toll on patients. They knew that there was a real need for additional radiation oncology services on the Peninsula.
Soon after opening Dr. Heath Foxlee, a leading Radiation Oncologist based in Port Townsend, Washington, joined the team. Together, the three doctors bring more than 25 years of experience in cancer care to Peninsula Cancer Center, along with a stellar track record for patient satisfaction. They have also assembled a first-rate team of physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nurses, and front office staff and invested in leading-edge equipment to achieve the best possible medical outcomes.
